Chinese Guangdong, Iranian Fars province to expand economic ties

Tehran, April 27, IRNA – Deputy Secretary-General of Guangdong Provincial Government Liu Xiaojie said on Saturday that good relations between Iran and China provide a good opportunity for enhanced trade and economic relations between Guangdong and Iranian Fars Province. Liu Xiaojie made the remarks in a meeting with members of Fars Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture. He said Fars is a big province, rich in energy and mines as well as agriculture. He noted that regarding abundant tourist resorts in Fars, the province is expected to turn into a tourist hub in the future. Regarding the capacities of Fars and Guangdong provinces to develop economic cooperation, the two sides can have good economic relations in the future. He hoped that his visit to the province will result in a boost in cooperation, providing an opportunity for good relations. He said that Guangdong province exported more than 20 million dollars worth goods to Iran in 2013. end
