Colombo To Continue Oil Co-op With Tehran: Lankan Minister

Tehran, Jan 27, IRNA - Visiting Minister of Industry and Commerce of Sri Lanka Rishad Bathiudeen said here on Monday that Colombo will continue its oil cooperation with Tehran. Talking to IRNA, Bathiudeen underlined that his countryˈs dlrs250m debt to Iran over oil import will be paid back in near future. Pointing to Sri Lanka-Iran long lasting and deep-rooted political, economic and cultural relationship, he expressed hope that the two courtiers could further expand bilateral economic and trade cooperation. Bathiudeen also invited the Iranian inventors to make investment in various projects in Sri Lanka./end
