Community partnership highlighted

Manama, Mar. 20 (BNA): Capital Governor Shaikh Hesham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa has underlined the role of Ahli United Bank "AUB" in empowering the community and serving various segments and the development of the whole community. The governor expressed his pride regarding the ongoing partnership between the Governorate and the Bank for the third year respectively. During a meeting with the Group Chief Executive Officer, Managing Director & Executive Director of Ahli United Bank Group, Adel El-Labban, the governor congratulated El-Labban for naming him the Best CEO of the Year for the Middle East 2016 in recognition of his major contributions over years to the regional banking industry and its development. At the end of the meeting, he presented to El-Labban a memento image of the waterfront of the capital, Manama. The governor said: This achievement came as a result of substantial efforts exerted by El-Labban in the banking sector, his remarkable professional record, his first-class leadership, long experience in creation and development of major successful financial institutions, and his recognized role in the growth and extension of Ahli United Bank which to become among the major regional banks in the region and also the most efficient." He expressed his best wishes to El-Labban and to the Bank for achieving further progress and success. The two sides discussed areas of cooperation and aspects of partnership between the two parties that contribute in community development, empower the youth to become business pioneers and promote spirit of citizenship. They also covered a number of topics relating to the joint cooperation in respect of a number of programs and activities. He valued the effective contributions by the AUB in the realizing the principle of community partnership. El-Labban praised the unique initiatives and special projects that have been launched by the Capital Governorate and its role in the development of social responsibility and community service. He also praised the variety of projects and new ideas, that represent an approach to successful social work in the Capital Governorate, an initiative that deserves all appreciation and praise.
