Court issues injunction in favour of DTAC

BANGKOK, Sept 14 (TNA) - The Central Administration Court issued an injunction, allowing customers of Total Access Communication (DTAC) to use the 850MHz spectrum for another 3 months after the concession expires. The National Broadcasting and Telecommunication Commission (NBTC), the telecom regulator planned to cut off DTAC’s access to the spectrum on September 15 when its concession expires. DTAC earlier filed a complaint to the court, seeking protection for its customers, using the 850MHz spectrum. The court on Friday ruled that Dtac’s customers can continue using the 85MHz spectrum for the three-month remedy period, which will end on Dec 15. Giving the extra time by the court ruling, the users can switch to other mobile phone service providers. (TNA)
