Diplomat hails reviving Iran-Pakistan preferential trade

Tehran, IRNA – Iran's consular general in Karachi said that the country's recent move to remove the ban on the list of goods with preferential trade agreement is a positive signal to facilitate trade exchanges and reinforce bilateral cooperation. Speaking to IRNA, Hassan Nourian called for removing obstacles on Iran-Pakistan trade like the lack of an official banking channel and tariff roadblocks. He urged Iranian and Pakistani businesses to use this opportunity to strengthen relations, especially in border markets. Elaborating on Iranian government’s efforts to increase understanding of the commercial capacities of the two countries, he said Iran’s exclusive exhibition is supposed to be held in Karachi on January 16, 2023.
