Entering LNG market on agenda: Oil official

Tehran, Nov 12, IRNA - Entering the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) market in participation with international companies is on the agenda, Managing Director of National Iranian Tanker Company (NITC) Cyrus Kianersi said. Speaking to IRNA on Saturday, he said NITC has 69 ships with the capacity of 15.5 million tons which is the largest oil tanker fleet in the world. The Ministry of Petroleum plans to launch the LNG production facility and the NITC is ready to help export the produced LNG abroad, the official added. Kianersi also called for development of Liquefied Petroleum Gas fleet to boost presence in the global LPG market. NITC has also program to launch Floating Liquefied Natural Gas(FLNG) industry and attend the Bunkering market, he added. The official said due to removal of sanctions, the ground is prepared for presence of NITC at the global market. 1378/IRNA
