EU Green Energy SMEs Eye Growth Opportunities In Southeast Asia

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 27 (Bernama) -- A total of 35 small and medium enterprises (SMEs) from 13 countries in the European Union (EU) are seeking growth opportunities in Southeast Asia. In a statement, the EU Business Avenues in Southeast Asia said the companies were on a two-day business mission in Malaysia from Thursday, during which a series of business-to-business meetings were set up with local counterparts. "The business mission will see the participation of SMEs that are specialised in a wide range of solutions that respond to diverse needs through cutting-edge green energy technologies. "This includes energy solutions for industry and utilities, energy management software, wastewater solutions and green building applications," it said. Prior to their visit to Malaysia, the European SMEs also made a visit to Singapore for the Asia Clean Energy Summit 2016, which was part of the Singapore International Energy Week. -- BERNAMA
