Export of gas condensates to increase after platform launch

Tehran, Nov 11, IRNA – The executer of South Pars Phase 12 development project Rasoul Fallahnejad says after operation of platforms B and C of Phase 12 gas condensates can be exported from the phase every 10 to 20 days. He told IRNA that production of gas condensates will increase with the operation of platforms B and C, adding that the loading capacity will be two million barrels each time with the possibility to increase the loading times. Fallahnejad had earlier told IRNA that ground is prepared for the export of 1.2 million barrels of gas condensates from the largest phase in South Pars in coming days. He further remarked that currently the first unit of South Pars Phase 12 has become operational with a production capacity of 25 million cubic meters of gas and 40 thousand barrels of gas condensates per day. He noted that currently there is readiness to export gas condensates from Phase 12 every 30 days. Fallahnejad said at present export of gas condensates is carried out by a buoy but with the operation of Phase 19 the buoy is expected to be used as a support for the export of gas condensates of Phase 12. The first consignment of gas condensates of South Pars Phase 12 was exported in Tir (June/July) by the single point mooring (SPM) buoy. Meanwhile, Rokneddin Javadi, Managing Director of the National Iranian Oil Company, pointed to China and the UAE as destinations for ships carrying gas condensates of South Pars Phase 12. In late March this year and after operation of the first unit of Phase 12 over 12 million cubic meters of natural gas was injected to the nationwide network on daily basis. With the full operation of Phase 12 some three billion cubic feet or equivalent of 75 million cubic meters of sweet gas will be injected into the nationwide network. Phase 12 is the largest phase of South Pars oil and gas field in terms of volume of the work, investment and production./end
