First Development Phase of Umm Al Houl to Begin in 2016

Doha, March 02 (QNA) - HE Minister of Economy and Commerce Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al-Thani said Monday that the third quarter of 2015 will see the ministry receive request from investors regarding the Umm Al Houl economic zone. HE the Minister added that the second quarter of 2016 will see the launch of the first development phase of the zone. Speaking at the ceremony for placing the cornerstone of Umm Al Houl economic zone, His Excellency said that today is another milestone for Manateq Economic Zones Company. HE the Minister of Economy said that placing the cornerstone of the zone is part of a plan placed by the state to develop three economic zones that will play a part in implementing Qatar National Vision 2030. His Excellency added that today's event was under the patronage of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, as part of the state's bid to build a sustainable economy. (QNA)
