Flight Permits Up By 10%: Official

Tehran, Oct 19, IRNA – An official with the Civil Aviation Organization says issuance of flight permits increased by 10% in the first half of the current calendar year (started March 21). Morteza Dehqan said in the first half of the current year 102,784 permits were issued on domestic routes and 44,944 on foreign routes which show an increase of 10% over the same period last year. “During that period, the Civil Aviation Organization issued a total of 147,728 flight permits on domestic and foreign routes.” He pointed to inspection of the airports for evaluating their preparedness for receiving flights and offering proper services and airport facilities, inspecting travel agencies for observance of rules and regulations, and rendering services to air passengers as being among other measures taken by the organization in the first half of the current year./end
