Food merchants to discuss Ramadan preparations

Manama, May 28 (BNA): Food merchants are gathering on Monday at 12:00 p.m. in Bait Al Tijjar to sign a pact vowing not to raise prices during the holy month of Ramadan, and discuss their preparations. This comes following an invitation by the Food and Agriculture Committee of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) headed by board member Mr. Khaled Al Amin in which he called on BCCI members to attend the open meeting and encouraging food merchants to voluntarily sign the pact. It is worth to mention that the pact-signing is a practice initiated by the committee and it witnessed the approval of food merchants in Bahrain during the past two years wherein it was implemented. The committee expects similar success for the pact signing in its third year.
