Former Head Of Public Works Service Named Corruption Suspect

Jambi, Sept 24 (Antara) - The high prosecution office of Jambi has named Hendri Sastra, former head of the public works service of the regency of Tanjung Jabung Barat, a corruption suspect. Hendri is charged with involvement in the embezzlement of billions of rupiah worth of state fund for pipeline project in the regency in 2009-2010. Assistant in charge of special criminal cases at the high prosecution office Masyroby said Hendri was named suspect based on the result of investigations of Hendri and his friends on Sept 9. Hendri is one of the persons first to account for the failure in the construction of the project, Masyroby said here on Wednesday. The high prosecution office already named two suspects earlier involved in the case. Currently a number of suspects were named in the same case.
