Four Indonesian Enterpreneurs To Attend Dubai Summit

Jakarta, Nov 27 (ANTAR) - Four Indonesian startups will attend a global entrepreneursship summit in Dubai, December 11-12, 2012, the US Embassy here said on its official website on Tuesday. The U.S. State Department has partnered with the United Arab Emirates to host the Global Entrepreneurship Summit. During the Summit, 30 entrepreneurs, including four Indonesian startups, will participate in a pitching competition where the top pitches will win prizes like long-term mentorships, seed grants, and a six-week accelerator course in Silicon Valley. The pitching competition is part of the Global Innovation through Science and Technology (GIST) Tech-I Competition, which received entries from 49 countries around the world during the first phase of the competition. The list of 30entrepreneurs participating in Dubai and their businesses are available at the GIST website. GIST is funded by the U.S. Department of State and supports technology startups across the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. Since its creation, GIST has provided skills development, mentorship, and financial resources and activities to 2,500 startups.
