Gazprom: There Is A Planned Visit To Iraq To Discuss Developing Relations Between Ministry of Oil And Gazprom

Baghdad, Iraq (NINA) - The Russian gas company Gazprom announced a planned visit to Iraq by the end of next August to discuss the development of relations between the Ministry of Oil and the company. A foreign ministry statement said "The Iraqi ambassador to Russia, Haidar Mansour al-Athari, received the head of the international relations department of Gazprom company Vyacheslav Nikonorov at the embassy building in Moscow," The ambassador stressed the Iraqi government's keenness to develop relations with the Russian Federation in all fields, indicating the full support of the Iraqi government to Russian companies operating in Iraq, including the company (Gazprom), explaining that the embassy will work to provide all necessary facilities for companies wishing to work in Iraq. For his part, Nikonorov said that "there is a prospective visit to a delegation of the company Gazprom to Iraq at the end of next August to discuss the development of relations between the Iraqi Oil Ministry and the company, especially with regard to (Badra) project, as well as other projects in the Kurdistan region of Iraq." / End
