Government revenue in first 10 months of fiscal 2015 over 1.7 trillion baht

BANGKOK, August 29 (TNA) -- The government earned more than 1.7 trillion baht during the first 10 months of fiscal 2015, began last October 1, said Fiscal Policy Office director-general Krisada Chinavicharana. Mr Krisada said the government earned about 1.776 trillion baht during the first 10 months of fiscal 2015, up 93.81 billion baht or 5.6 per cent from the corresponding period of last year. Collection of higher oil and personal income taxes were the major factors which enabled the government’s revenue to become higher, he said. Other factors included revenues from the revolving funds and money collected from an auction of 3G frequency. Government’s expenditure disbursement during the same period totaled about 2.3 trillion baht, an increase of 7.3 per cent, said Mr Krisada. By the end of July 2015, the government still had approximately 202 billion baht in its reserves, he said. Mr Krisada said the increase in government’s budget disbursement showed that the national economy increased and met its target. (TNA)
