Grand food fest organised in Hua Hin to welcome int'l visitors

PRACHUAP KHIRI KHAN, THAILAND, August 30 (TNA) - The Hua Hin Municipality, in cooperation with the state-run Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and the Hua Hin-Cha-am Tourism Association, will organise a grand food festival next month to welcome international visitors and to stimulate local tourism. Muang Hua Hin Deputy Mayor Montri Shoupu told journalists on Tuesday that the Hua Hin Food Festival 2016 will be held at the Phon King Petch Public Park during September 16-18, during which a variety of dishes prepared by leading hotels will be showcased and served to international visitors. According to the deputy mayor, a highlight of the three-day event is a specially-prepared dish, called Giant Pan Spaghetti Pad Thai. a creative fusion of Thai and foreign cuisine. The deputy mayor said that the southern part of the Damnern Kasem Road in front of the public park will be closed off to allow participating hotels and food entrepreneurs to showcase and serve international visitors with their 5-star dishes at reasonable prices.
