Gulf Drilling International Receives 'Oil Field Services Company of the Year' Award

Doha, October 12 (QNA) - Gulf Drilling International Limited (GDI) has received the "Oil Field Services Company of the Year" award at a sparking industry event in Abu Dhabi. The prize was awarded by the "Oil and Gas Middle East" magazine, which has been introducing the awards since 2010 to highlight and celebrate the outstanding achievements made within the upstream and downstream sectors of the oil and gas industry in the Middle East. Over 200 industry professionals from the regions biggest and best NOCs and leading oilfield technology and service providers, attended the gala event. The award was received by CEO of the Gulf Drilling International Mubarak Awaida Al Hajri in recognition of the company's achievements in 2014. The achievements included, the best safety record ever in terms of total recordable accident rate, which clearly exceeded any registered record by the Commission, reaching the highest revenue rate and net profit in the company's history, and the distinguished operational performance where all the devices and drilling rigs were operating at a rate of 100 per cent for a full year non-stop.
