Hand woven carpet exports up by 17%

Isfahan, Dec 4, IRNA – Head of Trade Promotion Organization (TPO) Mojtaba Khosrowtaj said on Sunday that hand-woven carpet export in the first seven months of the current year in comparison with that in the same period of last year increased by 17 percent. He made the remarks in the inaugural ceremony for the19th Exhibition of the Hand-Woven Carpet Exports in Isfahan. Khosrowtaj said that countries like the US, UAE, Pakistan, Germany, and Lebanon are our export goal countries. Khosrowtaj, who is also Deputy Minister of Industries, Mines and Trade, said by applying new technologies and innovations the industry should survive in the world market and said those engaged in the industry should offer new ideas to address growing demand. The 19th Exporting Exhibition of Hand-Woven Carpet, dubbed 'Carpex 2016', opened in Isfahan on Sunday, December 4, which will last until December 9, 2016. 1378/IRNA
