IIUM Signs Pact With IECM, JC Capital

KUALA LUMPUR, April 17 (Bernama) -- The International Islamic University of Malaysia (IIUM) has signed two pacts with the Islamic Entrepreneur Council Malaysia (IECM) and JC Capital Management Sdn Bhd to produce more skilled workforce. Rector of IIUM, Prof Dr Zaleha Kamarudin, said IECM would help IIUM provide training and business-related skills, especially in Islamic business to students who wanted to become entrepreneurs. "This cooperation can solve problems faced by IIUM in terms of quality graduates who are marketable and job opportunities after graduation. "The training covers all relevant aspects of business, including risk exposures and criteria required by entrepreneurs to improve their companies," Zaleha told reporters after the signing of the pacts here Thursday. Zaleha said the MOU with JC Capital was to provide job opportunities in the business sector for graduates from China who had completed their studies at IIUM. "Presently, there are over 100 students from China and for a start, 50 of them will be sent to China to work," she said. JC Capital is involved in commodity trading in China. -- BERNAMA
