Indonesia Hosting Asia-Pacific Canso Conference

Jakarta, May 6 (Antara) - The state airports operator PT Angkasa Pura (AP) II represents Indonesia in hosting the Asia-Pacific Civil Air Navigation Services Organization (CANSO) conference 2013, the operator`s official said. PT AP II president director, Tri S Sunoko said here Monday, the CANSO conference which takes place at Grand Hyatt Hotel, Jakarta on May 6-8, 2013 is participated in by a total of 286 participants from 33 Asia-Pacific CANSO member countries. "This is a quite important event and encouraging. We are trusted to be the host after only a year to become a member," Sunoko said, adding that PT Angkasa Pura II officially becomes a permanent member of Canso since January 2012. According to him, hosting the event also constitutes a pride to Indonesia, because such momentum is a proof that Indonesia becomes more attractive to the world. CANSO is the only organization of air navigation services that has 143 member countries and responsible for managing 85 percent of world`s air space.
