Indonesia Opens Business Showroom In Bulgaria

Varna, Bulgaria, May 8 (Antara)- Indonesian Ambassador to Bulgaria Bunyan Saptomo officially inaugurated an Indonesian Business Showroom (IBS) for Eastern Europe in the seaport city of Verna, some 500 kilometers from Sofia. The ambassador was accompanied by Tjahja Widayanti of the Indonesian Export Development Directorate General in the ceremony, which was also attended by Indonesian Ambassador to Rumania Diar Nurbiantoro and Mayor of Varna Pevcho Pevchev, Dina Martina, the spokesperson of the Indonesian embassy in Sofia, remarked here, Friday. Several Indonesian and Bulgarian businessmen and journalists were also present during the event. Indonesia has offered business opportunities and cooperation in the field of tourism with Varna and East European countries in general, Ambassador Saptomo stated. In the meantime, Widayanti affirmed that Bulgaria is one of Indonesia's potential trading partners in Europe. Indonesia has exported copper, vegetable oil, natural rubber, coffee, electronic circuits, paper and paperboards, synthetic fibers, and tuna, among other things, to Bulgaria. The Indonesian products on display in the new showroom include furniture and home decor products. Indonesia is also currently exploring business cooperation with other Bulgarian cities such as Veliko, Turnovo, and Bansko to establish IBS in the near future.
