INDUSTRIAL OTPUT IN FIGURES

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ In the first quarter of 2013, the total industrial output increased by MNT 33.7 billion or 7.1 percent to MNT 507.0 billion (at 2005 constant prices) compared to same period of the previous year. This increase occurred due to 21.8-percent increases in mining and quarrying products crude petroleum, gold, to 3.8-percent production of increases in manufacturing sector such as bread, metal foundries, beer, milk, knitted goods, juice, bakery products, kind of sausage, soft drinks, metal steel, sheepskin coat, combed down. Total of MNT 27.4 billion of construction and installation work were carried out, of which 26.6 billion or 97.1 percent of the work were executed by domestic entities and 0.8 billion or 2.9 percent by foreign entities. The MNT 4.3 billion or 18.7 percent increase in construction and installation works against same period of 2012 was mainly due to 3.6 billion or 15.7-percent increase in works executed by domestic entities.
