Int'l visitors welcomed to Lanna Expo 2015 in Chiang Mai

CHIANG MAI, THAILAND, August 28 (TNA) - Four northern Thai provinces will co-organise the Lanna Expo 2015 in Chiang Mai from September 4-13, in which international visitors are welcome to join. Chiang Mai Deputy Governor Nawin Sinthusa-ard said that the Lanna Expo 2015, to be jointly organised by the four upper northern Thai provinces of Chiang Mai, Lamphun, Mae Hong Son and Lampang, is aimed to honour Her Majesty Queen Sirikit on the auspicious occasion of Her Majesty's 7th Cycle Birthday Anniversary. According to the governor, the 10-day event will showcase a variety of unique, high-quality products and services, both local and international, expected to help boost local economy and tourist confidence in the northern region. The forthcoming Lanna Expo 2015 is foreseen to attract more than 800,000 international visitors, with at least 50 million baht expected to be changed hands. (TNA)
