IOOC Ends Feasibility Studies On Four Offshore Fields

Tehran, Sept 16, IRNA - Feasibility studies on Balal, Resalat, Tosan and Doroud gas fields have been conducted to increase gas output, said the head of the Iranian Offshore Oil Company (IOOC). Saeed Hafezi added that the rise in oil and gas production requires proper planning and advanced technologies, wrote Tuesday's edition of 'Iran Daily'. Domestic and foreign advisors have been carrying out feasibility studies on 16 offshore fields. Although technology and science of reservoir witnessed high development, the latest technology has not been applied in many sectors. Director for planning of Iranian Offshore Oil Company (IOOC), Mohammad Hossein Daneshfar, said in July that 10 fields (developed and undeveloped), including Resalat, Esfandiar, Arash, Reshadat, Tosan, Mahshahr, Farzam, Alfa and Norouz, are to be completed, adding that these fields are ready to attract foreign investment. Daneshfar also said over $10b are needed for the development of these fields, stressing that some of these fields are devising plans for conducting feasibility studies./end
