Iran Among Five Tajik Trade Partners: Tajik Envoy

Qazvin Prov, Sept 28, IRNA – Tajik Ambassador to Tehran Dolat Ali Hatamov said on Saturday that the Islamic Republic of Iran is among five main trade partners of Tajikistan. Hatamov hailed Iranian achievements since the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979, calling for enhanced bilateral ties in science and technology. He referred to common language and historical and cultural affinities between the two nations as a base for promotion of relations in different fields. Tajikistan by possessing the 8th-biggest water reserves in the world and the first in the region enjoys a good capacity for agriculture and agricultural industries, the ambassador said, expressing his country’s readiness to export water to Iran. He said that Tajikistan can act as a bridge for Iranian traders to re-export their goods to other regional countries./end
