Iran-Bangladesh Ministers Meet In Dhaka

Dhaka, Oct 10, IRNA – Iran's Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Mehdi Ghazanfari and Bangladeshi Industries Minister Dilip Barua held talks here on Wednesday on ways to promote bilateral industrial cooperation. Ghazanfari is in Dhaka for the third ministerial meeting of the Developing Eight Countries (D-8) that kicked off here on Wednesday. For his part, Barua called for expansion of cooperation with the Iranian side in the fields of power plant construction, industrial and technical products as well as agriculture. The D-8 is a development cooperation forum consisting Iran, Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan and Turkey. The preliminary meeting was held in the Bangladeshi capital with participation of a group of experts of the member states on October 7-8./end
