Tehran, Nov 23, IRNA – Head of Majlis Energy Commission Fereidoun Hasanvand and economic delegations from China and the Netherlands on Wednesday studied joint implementation of energy projects. Iran, China, Netherlands form joint commission to study energy projects The Iranian parliamentary delegation met on Wednesday with economic delegations from China and the Netherlands to discuss investment and energy cooperation. In the meeting, Majlis Representative from Khuzestan Majid Naseri Nejad and Head of Majlis Energy Commission Fereidoun Hasanvand delivered speech on capabilities of Khuzestan province and Charmahal Bakhtiyari in attracting foreign investment. The rules and regulations in the Islamic Republic of Iran guarantee sound attraction of foreign investment, Hasanvand said. Iran welcomes investment and import of technological know-how into the country, he said. Majlis Representative from Khuzestan Province Majid Naseri-Nejad said Khuzestan has the highest capacity of investment in oil, gas, petrochemicals, water, new energies and related fields and Majlis representatives spare no efforts to support foreign investment. Abundance of expert workforce, vicinity with densly populated countries of the region such as Iraq and the record of successful investment in those markets indicate to what extent the region is suitable for competition, he said. Head of the Chinese delegation, for his part, said there is huge potential for investment in the energy sector in Khuzestan province and said Beijing is eager to make investment in various energy sectors in Iran. 1378/IRNA
