Iran, China Sign Deal On Expertise Exchange

Shiraz, Fars Prov., May 11, IRNA – Shiraz Universityˈs Faculty of Agriculture has signed a deal with Chinese Agriculture Organization on sharing of information and experience, exchange of professors and students and cooperation in the field of research. Speaking on the sidelines of the visit of Chinaˈs Deputy Minister of Agriculture Niu Dun to Fars Agricultural and Natural Resources Research Center in Shiraz on Saturday, Head of Fars Province Agricultural Jihad Organization Mohammad Mehdi Ghassemi said Chinese officials and Fars agricultural officials had voiced readiness for joint research in cattle breeding and plant cultivation, optimization of water consumption, production of hygienic products and establishment of nano companies. Ghassemi went on to say that the two sides also agreed to increase export of agricultural and green house products and conduct joint research on related field. Niu Dun said that modern irrigation systems are used in Fars Province at a remarkable standard level, an experience China needs to acquire. He said Fars agriculture sector benefits from remarkable scientific achievements of researchers and that is a point of interest for Chinese agricultural officials./end
