Iran Expatriates Apply For Investment: Official

Tehran, Nov 18, IRNA – Over 560 Iranian expatriates have applied for investment in the country's projects, said deputy of High Council of Iranian Affairs Abroad for ceremonial affairs. Ali Shabani told the council members that the applications have been signed by Iranian expatriates. Shabani who is also official of Iran's Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization (ICHHTO) said that they have applied for authorized projects for investment. Shabani added that some 12,000 files have been registered by the Center for Iranian Expatriates Affairs which indicates their high interest in investment in Iran. Referring to the attraction of the Iranian handicrafts for investment, he added that the expatriates boast the bets capacity for introducing the Iranian arts and tourism attractions to the foreigners. Holding exhibitions and seminars on the Iranian handicrafts is one of the suitable approaches for publicizing investment opportunities, Shabani added. Meanwhile, ICHHTO's director general for commercial affairs, Ahmad Balan referred to valuable capacities of Iran's handicrafts for promoting Iran's culture and art, on the one hand, and attracting foreign investments, on the other, and called for boosting cooperation between his institute and the council./end
