Iran Exports Precious Stones Worth Rls700b Annually

Mashhad, Khorasan Razavi prov, Oct 24, IRNA – Iran exports precious and semi-precious stones worth rls 700 billion each year, a member of National Committee for Compiling Standard of Precious Stones said on Tuesday. Mohammad Javad Pishbin told a news conference about the upcoming Fourth Seminar on Precious and Semi-Precious Stones and First Festival of Turquoise that the stones are better be exported in the form of jewelry not in original form. He called for paying further attention to the precious and semi-precious stones' industry because the industry can bring in more profits. It will help generate jobs, Pishbin added. The Fourth Seminar on Precious and Semi-Precious Stones and First Festival of Turquoise will be held in Mashhad on November 1-2./end
