Iran Exports Wagons To 30 Countries

Zanjan, Sept 25, IRNA – Iran-made wagons are exported to 30 countries, managing director of Iranians Rail Industry Development Company said on Tuesday. Addressing the inauguration ceremony for the first phase of ceding high-sided wagons of the company, Gholamreza Razzazi said that at present, the company is engaged in direct talks with over 30 countries to take part in wagon repair, renovation and sales bids, which if won, they yield benefits. Razzazi further noted that his company favors diversity of products and currently, as it focused on designing and building of new wagons. Wagons carrying automobiles are currently in designing stage, and if necessary facilities are provided, the project will be implemented soon, he said. Razzazi noted that some 200 passenger wagons and 500 transport wagons are produced each year by the Iranian Rail Industry Development Company. Plans are underway to enhance the manufacturing capacity of the company by 50 percent by the end of the current Iran year (started March 21), he said./end
