Iran Gas Exports To Turkey To Resume As Of Tuesday: Turkish Min.

Ankara, July 3, IRNA – Turkish Energy Minister Taner Yildiz said Monday that Ankara is to resume import of Iran’s gas as of Tuesday (tomorrow). He told reporters that the exports of Iran’s gas to Turkey had been halted due to an explosion by elements of the militant Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) damaging the gas pipeline in the Turkish soil. The last week explosion occured in Turkey‘s eastern province of Van damaging the pipeline but causing no casualties. Yildiz added that the import of Iran's natural gas will be resumed since the damaged gas transfer line has been repaired. The Turkish minister said such terrorist attacks are fruitless. Iran exports 10 billion Cubic meters of gas to Turkey annually./end
