Iran-Germany economic confab to open in Berlin

Tehran, April 6, IRNA – Major Iran-Germany Economic Conference will be held in Berlin on April 8 in presence of Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh, announced Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO). Executive Director of IMIRDO board, Mehdi Karbasyan said that a 30-member delegation comprising high-ranking officials from industrial, mining and trade sectors led by Nematzadeh will take part in the upcoming conference. He, himself a member of the delegation, added that IMIDRO will organize the one-day event in cooperation with Union of Germany and Middle East Economic Cooperation to attract investment from the German private sector and help promote mutual cooperation in the fields of industry, mining and trade. Two deputies of the minister of Industry, Mines and Trade and managing director of Iran Industry and Mines Bank will participate in the conference, Karbasyan said. Some ten managers and owners of Iranian private sector industries will hold talks with their German counterparts involved in Middle East investments, he said. Karbasyan is scheduled to deliver a lecture during the conference to explain the advantages of investment and capacities of the mining sector in the Islamic Republic of Iran.
