Iran Has No Problem With Oil Sale : Envoy

Paris, Feb 19, IRNA – Iran has no problem with its oil sale to new customers world over, the country's Ambassador to France Ali Ahani said Friday evening. In a meeting with Iranian representatives in France, Ahani said Tehran can halt its oil exports to France, Spain, Greece and Italy whenever it wants to. Iran postponed halting its oil exports on humanitarian grounds and considering freezing whether in the European states in order to prevent any possible problems for the European nations. The experiences in the wake of ban on Iranian crude oil by certain EU member states show that the people in those countries are against the imposition of such sanctions, said Ahani. He further said the increase in crude oil prices as a result of such sanctions proved this claim. Sanctions against nations have been always used as a weapon for putting pressure on independent countries, said Ahani. However, he added, such sanctions and restrictions have proved to be ineffective. Ahani termed as 'baseless' the recent accusations made by the Zionist regime against Iran with regard to recent bomb blasts in India, Georgia and Thailand./end
