Iran To Hold Intl. Biscuits, Cookies, Chocolate Fair

Tehran, Sept 13, IRNA – The 13th Iran Int’l Biscuits, Sweets & Chocolate Machineries & Raw Materials Fair will be held in Tehran at the permanent international fairground on Monday, September 15. Some 266 domestic and 50 foreign biscuits, sweets and chocolate companies will participate in the four-day exhibition which will be held in an area of 13,750 square meters. Foreign companies from 21 world countries will put their products on display at the exhibition. Spain, U.S., Austria, Italy, Germany, Britain, Ukraine, Azerbaijan Republic, Turkey, China, Denmark, Russia, Japan, Sweden, France, South Korea, Malaysia, the Netherlands, and India are among the participating countries. Meanwhile, holding educational workshops on promotion and effective marketing in confectionary industry is among programs to be implemented on the sidelines of the exhibition. Iran exported $600 million worth of products in this category in the calendar year 1390 (2011-2012). Further export development is expected to take place under the 11th government./end
