Iran-Indonesia Call For Increased Joint Investment

Tehran, Feb 3, IRNA – The deputy minister of economic affairs and finance said on Sunday Iran and Indonesia have agreed to boost joint investment. Behrouz Alishiri and the Chairman of Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board, Mahendra Siregar who is on a visit to Iran accompanied by a delegation of Indonesian economic activists explored ways to enhance investment and trade between the two countries. During the meeting, Alishiri briefed the Indonesian delegation on facilities provided by Iran to foreign investors. In the meantime, the Indonesian official called for expansion of investment cooperation between the two countries, underlining the necessity of an agreement on setting up an investment committee by Iran and Indonesia in this regard. Siregar urged measures to be adopted by both sides to further facilitate trade relations and investment between the two Muslim countries./end
