Iran Industry Minister Off To Dhaka

Tehran, Oct 9, IRNA – Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Mehdi Ghazanfari departed to Dhaka, Bangladesh, to participate in the third ministerial meeting of the Developing Eight Countries (D-8). During his two-day stay in Dhaka, Ghazanfari is to hold separate talks with a number of his counterparts from the D-8 states and also address the ministerial meeting on Wednesday. Inaugurated on Monday in Dhaka, the event will be wrapped up on October 10. The D-8 is a development cooperation forum consisting of Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan and Turkey. The first ministerial meeting of the D-8 was held in the Iranian capital of Tehran in 2010 while the second meeting was held one year later in Istanbul, Turkey./end
