Iran-Iraq To Promote Economic, Social Co-op : Minister

Tehran, Oct 23, IRNA – Minister of Labor and Social Welfare Abdolreza Sheikholeslam who is currently in Iraq said Tuesday that Iran and Iraq were to promote economic and social cooperation. The minister made the remarks at the end of his meetings with Iraqi officials with whom he discussed major bilateral issues. He said that a new chapter was open in bilateral relations. Sheikholeslam noted based on previously made agreements between the two capitals, Tehran and Baghdad were to promote bilateral cooperation in the fields of cooperatives, labor and social welfare activities. The minister added that execution of past cooperation was a big step towards expanding cooperation between the two countries in different areas./end
