Iran Keen To Facilitate Foreign Investment: OIETAI Chief

Tehran, Sept 17, IRNA – Iran keen to facilitate foreign investment, President of Organization for Investment, Economic and Technical Assistance of Iran (OIETAI) said on Wednesday. Mohammad Khazaei, also deputy economy minister, made the remarks in a meeting with visiting Mexican Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Carlos Alberto de Icaza Gonzalez. The two countries enjoy strategic relations, he said, adding that Tehran welcomes presence of Mexican investors and establishment of joint investment committee. The Mexican official, for his part, called for boost in all-out ties between the two states. Iran has been seeking to broaden ties and cooperation with Latin American states, including Venezuela, Bolivia, Brazil, Ecuador, Nicaragua, Cuba, Mexico and Colombia. Earlier this month, President Hassan Rouhani called on the country's envoys to the Asian, European, African and Latin American states to double efforts to promote relations with all world countries, especially in scientific and economic fields. Different world states have shown eagerness to further expand ties with Iran after Tehran and the world powers inked a deal in Geneva in November to settle the dispute over the country's peaceful nuclear program./end
