Iran-Lebanon To Enhance Agricultural Co-op

Beirut, Nov 5, IRNA – A specialized Lebanese delegation comprising representatives of the public and private sectors arrived in Tehran to visit the 11th International Livestock, Poultry and Dairy Industries Exhibition featuring Iran's capabilities in the fields. Iran's commercial attaché in Lebanon, Abbas Abdelkhani told IRNA that the 9-man team's visit is aimed at getting acquainted with the latest achievements of Iran and helping promote commercial ties between the two countries' private sectors. He further noted that Lebanon has earlier announced its readiness to import livestock medicines from Iran and host Iranian companies to help build slaughterhouses in the country. Exchange of delegations between the two states to visit commercial events has shown a desirable growth in the past two years, Abdelkhani said, noting that the officials of both countries have signed agreements on the sidelines of the events which were effective in promoting non-oil exports./end
