Iran Minister Calls For Increase In IDB Capital

Tehran, May 22, IRNA – Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance Shmaseddin Hosseini proposed increase in the capital of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB). Hosseini made the remarks in a meeting with the IDB President Ahmad Mohamed Ali in Tajikistan, it was reported on Wednesday. Hosseini also stressed the need to finalize cooperation program between the IDB member countries. The IDB president, too, said the Bank is determined to boost all-out cooperation with Iran and appreciated Tehranˈs constant support for his institution./end
