Iran, Nigeria oil ministers meet to boos cooperation on energy

Tehran, IRNA – Nigeria’s Minister of State for Petroleum Resources Timipre Silva met with Iran’s Oil Minister Javad Owji on Saturday in Tehran to sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to strengthen cooperation on energy. At the beginning of the meeting, Owji expressed condolences over the death of OPEC’s Nigerian Secretary-General Mohammed Sanusi Barkindo and praised his lasting services. Owji also expressed hope that Iran and Nigeria would strengthen their cooperation on energy with the MoU to be signed later today, considering their membership in OPEC and GECF.
