Iran ready to implement refining projects in Iraq, Turkmenistan

Tehran, Nov 11, IRNA – Managing Director of the National Oil Engineering and Construction Company says Iran is ready and capable of implementing refining projects in countries such as Iraq and Turkmenistan. Outlining the performance of the company, Mir Ali Asghar Sajedi referred to the implementation of a number of refining projects and said completion of units of Shazand refinery of Arak, improvement of the quality of products of Tehran refinery, increase in gasoline production of Bandar Abbas refinery and development and improvement of Isfahan refinery are among projects under implementation. He referred to increase of six million liters of gasoline at Bandar Abbas refinery as a project in the refining sector. Sajedi said plans are underway for turning 60% of the fuel oil of Isfahan refinery into quality gasoline, adding that implementation of the plan requires about two billion euro. The National Oil Engineering and Construction Company is developing the capacity of Abadan refinery on the basis of which old units will be collected and replaced by new ones in accordance with the world standards and with the potential of producing Euro 5 products. As for Anahita refinery in Kermanshah, Sajedi said after financing construction of the refinery will be started./end
