Iran Resumes Gas Exports To Turkey

Tehran / NINA / The Director of The Iranian National Gas Company Manouchehr Taheri announced resuming the export of Iranian gas to Turkey last night after the Turkish side removed the problem in the gas pipeline. It is mentioned that exporting gas to Turkey stopped to Turkey in 27 July due to an explosion in the gas transmission pipeline between Iran and Turkey, close to the city of Doba Yazid. Iran exports about 20 million cubic meters of gas to Turkey per day. Turkey and Iran signed, in 1996 during the visit of former Turkey President, Najim al-Din Arbakan, a contract under which Turkey imports gas from Iran over 25 years. / End
