Iran, Russia to expand business cooperations

TEHRAN, Nov. 18 (MNA) – Head of Tabriz Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture underscored the need for increased cooperation between Iran’s and the Russian Chamber of Commerce, ensuring that business cooperation between the two countries would result in positive outcomes. On the sidelines of his meeting with Russian trade delegation in Tabriz, head of Tabriz Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture Rahim Sadeghian told reporters on Monday that Islamic Republic of Iran and East Azerbaijan Province had the capacity and potential to develop ties with Russia, adding that cooperation between Russian and Iranian Chambers of Commerce played a major role in the expansion of their bilateral relations. Rahim Sadeghian dubbed the sanctions imposed on Iran and Russia ineffective, adding that the conditions were improving in such a way that both countries could have further trade exchanges. Sadeghian underlined the increase in the trips between both delegations as a sign of a developing strategic cooperation between the two countries. With regards to Tabriz metropolitan and the potentials in the region, Sadeghian said that agriculture, tourism and industrial empowerment in Tabriz must be applied to the economic development of the two sides. In an interview with the reporters, Russian trade delegation also underscored the development of Iran-Russia market and said that due to Iran’s high economic and business potentials, Russian businessmen were trying to increase cooperation with Iran.
