Iran Sanctions Serious Challenge To World Fragile Economy : Minister

Tehran, Oct 12, IRNA – Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance Ali Tayyebnia said the unilateral sanctions imposed on Iran especially in gas and oil field are a serious challenge to the world fragile economy. The minister made the remarks in the fall meeting of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund in Washington. He noted that despite some positive signs, the growth rate of world economy is still affected by the recent economic crisis. Tayyebnia pointed to the challenges to the global economy due to the sanctions imposed on Iran especially in gas and oil areas and said the move has created instability and lack of transparency in the market and stopped equal global access to oil and gas. The Iranian minister further stressed that the government of President Hassan Rouhani, inaugurated on August 23, 2013, is pursuing a strategy of cooperation with the international community, increasing international economic deals and constructive interaction with the IMF and other financial organizations./end
