Iran Sees 53% Rise In Export Of Tractors

Tabriz, Jan 17, IRNA – Managing-Director of Iranian Tractor Manufacturing Industrial Group Abolfath Ebrahimi said on Wednesday that export of tractors has registered a 53 percent rise in the first nine months of the Iranian calendar year. Speaking to reporters, he said 2,731 tractors valued at dlrs 33.5 million had been exported abroad in the corresponding period last year but the figure stands at 4,000 worth dlrs 70 million this year, he said. Iranian products have been shipped to 30 countries, he said, adding that Iraq, Afghanistan and Venezuela are among Iran's main customers. Iranian Tractor Manufacturing Industrial Group has branches in Tabriz, Sanandaj and Orumiyeh and the company also has production lines in Venezuela, Uganda, Zimbabwe and Tajikistan./end
