Iran to significantly increase oil exports once sanctions are lifted: official

Tehran, Nov 22, IRNA – A senior official with the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) said on Friday that Iran could increase oil exports significantly within 2 or 3 months once sanctions against the country are lifted. The NIOC director for international affairs Mohsen Qamsari said that Iran has maintained contacts with European customers of its crude oil despite imposition of Western sanctions. It is not possible to return to previous figures very fast because others have filled our place, Qamsari said. However, he noted, Iran is capable of increasing its oil shipments to global markets within a short time when the sanctions are removed. On the low demand for crude oil at global markets, the official said that falling prices during the past three months have increased global demand to a great deal./end
