Iran, Slovakia seal cooperation agreement

TEHRAN, Mar. 09 (MNA) – Iran’s industry minister and Slovakian economy minister have signed an agreement on establishment of a joint economic committee between the two countries. Iran's Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh and Slovakian Minister of Economy Vazil Hudak inked the Memorandum of Understanding at the level of deputy ministers in order to identify venues of cooperation, participation in exhibitions, keeping in touch with investors as well as specialized training in automotive parts manufacturing and industry. Pointing to the need to boost bilateral ties, the Iranian minister emphasized the role of the tws countries in expansion of economic and trade relations. Nematzadeh noted that domestic and foreign investments are of the same nature; “currently with the removal of international sanctions, we seek to bolster collaborations with other countries to which end we look for long-term strategies and innovative technology-based plans.” Iran’s industry minister further enumerated several venues of mutual cooperation including cooperation of universities in science and technology, automaking and research and development in automotive design and production, energy, marketing, development of industrial clusters in small and medium industries as well as transfer of experiences. For his part, the Slovakian minister said his country is ready to share technical experiences with Iran, stressing the need to hold joint economic meeting between the two to boost cooperation. “Iran and Slovakia are able to strengthen ties in numerous areas including renewable energy, automotive, telecommunications, information technology as well as establishment of science and technology parks,” he concluded.
