Iran, South Korea call for expansion of economic ties

TEHRAN,Apr.13(MNA) - In a meeting between Iranian Deputy Economy Minister Behrouz Alishiri and his South Korean counterpart, the two sides called for boosting bilateral ties in different trade and investment fields. The meeting was held on the sidelines of the joint annual meeting of IMF and the World Bank (WB) which opened in Washington on Friday. Referring to the good political relations between Iran and South Korea, Alishiri emphasized the need to expand bilateral economic and trade ties, as well. South Korea seeks to develop economic relations with Iran and more cooperation between private sectors of the two countries, the South Korean official said. South Korea is one of the major trade partners of Iran. It is also one of the main buyers of the Iranian oil.
